Thrive

Discover new healing strategies for autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, trauma, body image issues and other health challenges.
You want to be well and feel strong and vital.
You want to be in charge of your health and your energy.
You may want to eat more mindfully and let go of your battles with food that no longer serve you.
You want to make those changes to sleep, exercise and nutrition that you have been thinking about for a while.
An enormous gap can exist between the desire to be well and the everyday reality of living with physical and mental constraints. Together we can create a path that allows you to close that gap.
This can be achieved through the practice of Functional Medicine which addresses the root causes of illness It incorporates the tenets of many holistic health models, including whole body medicine, mind-body connections, holistic nutrition, and more.
I do not direct you but rather use deep listening and gentle inquiry, asking powerful and insightful open-ended questions to guide the process.
I am here to reflect back to you the wisdom you possess, and to add the elements of accountability and kind flexibility.
We start with a free consultation to better understand your goals. Using a Functional Medicine matrix, we map out your relevant history and collaborate to find ways for you to create new directions and pathways.
Coaching is rooted in Positive Psychology and a deep tradition of humanistic philosophy. Much has been written but this image describes the elements of a client-centered coaching process.

What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is the future of medicine, available right now. It can improve patient outcomes, reduce the global burden of chronic disease, create healthy communities, and avert an economic crisis from escalating health care costs.
It views the body as one unique integrated system instead of isolating single organs and separating them into medical specialties.
Functional Medicine coaching is an individualized, patient-centered, scientific approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness.
A Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC) understands the foundations of Functional Medicine, moving beyond the diagnosis-prescription model to co-create and execute a plan that inspires the client to forge a path of better emotional, physical and spiritual health.
A FMCHC may be able to provide assistance related to labs and supplements but does not assess, prescribe, diagnose, treat, or interpret results.
